"Slippin’ less, rockin Moore"
It makes perfect sense that Surprise Me Mr. Davis is on hand for the 20th Annual High Sierra since this is the place where the band was first spawned. Itwas at a Slip late night show in 2003 where High Sierra's favorite minstrel/scribe Nathan Moore (ThaMuseMeant) and keyboardist Marco Benevento (now a semi-official member of the band) joined them on stage for an epic, impromptu set. Now Surprise Me has returned often to the stages of High Sierra and the boys always bring their best to the moment with Moore providing the personality and prose while the Slip boys display their uncanny musicianship. Tight, concise songs played with unbridled energy their sets are always some of the most anticipated sets of the festival and if you've seen them before you know exactly why.
