"Finding words to describe The Slip is like dancing to architecture"
Some bands are synonymous with an experience. The Slip is to High Sierra what Sam Bush is to Telluride. Integral. Brothers Brad (guitar/vocals) and Andrew Barr (drums) along with bassist Marc Friedman will celebrate their 12th consecutive High Sierra Music Festival appearance this year. Heck, they're so busy with other projects these days they rarely even perform as The Slip anymore. But High Sierra is a family reunion for the Slip and fans of the band and the boys always deliver their best in the High Sierra setting. This incredibly talented trio has always followed its own muse and pushed its own creative limits. Whether they're taking on indie rock, a gentle ballad, an odd time signature or riding the improvisational moment, The Slip tune deeply into a unified band consciousness that transports the listener on a magical ride. Here's to an even dozen, cousin.
