Feel free to leave the cookware behind because High Sierra offers a wide variety of food vendors with delicious vegetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian fare – with an emphasis on organic options – that will nourish your body and satisfy your taste buds. Coffee drinks and smoothies are also available in the Food Court. 2016 confirmed food lineup includes: Asana Foods, Blue Sun Cafe, Earthly Delights, Fabulous Frickle Brothers, Javagogo, Krepalicious, Nourish, Sankofa, and Southern Comfort Express, Fatty Egg Roll, Bill the Oysterman, Spiro’s Gyros, the Merry Popsters, Gerard’s Paella, Mayhem Food Truck, and Nomad Street Cuisine and more!
Our Quench Cafés (Food Court and all stages) offer an array of all-natural beverages to keep festival goers hydrated and refreshed. Filtered water is available for those who bring their own vessel. Bottled water is available for those without a water bottle, but we urge all to participate in our efforts to reduce waste at the festival. We will also feature a variety of juices, teas, and sodas.
Ice will be for sale at the main Quench Café in the Food Court, as well as in Shady Grove and RV Town at select hours. In addition, there will be mobile ice sales throughout the day so keep an eye out for the ice cart!
FREE WATER! – NEW THIS YEAR!
In our efforts to reduce single serve plastic bottles we are teaming up with Klean Kanteen to offer FREE FILTERED WATER at various Klean Kanteen water filtration stations located around the Fairgrounds (please see the festival map in the center of this book for locations). Don’t forget to stop by the Klean Kanteen booth in the Grandstand Meadow and thank them for making this happen!
Beer, Wine & Cocktails
We have an array of styles and flavors of quality craft brews from Lagunitas, New Belgium and Sierra Nevada including our own Sierra Nevada produced High Sierra FestivALE – a lighter, easy drinking summer beer — give it a try! For wine enthusiasts we will feature delicious reds and refreshing white California varietals from Kokomo, August West, Sandler, Paydirt and Playwright wineries. And we welcome Two Rivers Cider and their hard cider on tap for the first time at High Sierra!
Cocktails of the highest quality will again be served at various locations through the festival, including a second location on the far side of the Music Meadow in the Grandstand. We welcome back our tequila partner Mi Casa as well as new craft distilleries Tahoe Blue (vodka) and Heritage Distilling (bourbon and gin). We’ll be pouring a variety of pre-made specialty cocktails including a killer Bloody Mary, a raspberry lemonade, margarita, rum punch and a few concoctions made with tasty all-natural tea crafted for cocktails from our new friends at Owl’s Brew. There will also be an assortment of sparkling mixers for you to pair with your favorite spirit and a menu of suggested favorites. Check the Libation Stations out for the full selection and your sippin’ pleasure! Cheers!
*You must be 21 years of age with valid ID to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages at the festival.
High Sierra Swirl
The “Swirl” is our official adult beverage “tasting event” that takes place daily from 5-7pm in the Tulsa E. Scott Building (adjacent to the Food Court). Patrons ages 21+ can purchase a stemless souvenir glass and receive five tastings from a variety of specialty beers by our official beer partners – New Belgium, Sierra Nevada and Lagunitas – or select wines from Kokomo, August West, Sandler, Paydirt, Patrick McNeil and Playwright wineries. We’ll welcome new addition Two Rivers Cider and also welcome back brews from Calicraft and Anchor Steam, who has partnered with Chris Robinson Brotherhood to make a beer called Brotherhood Steam Beer! We’ll also have Owl’s Brew on hand mixing tasters of their tea-crafted for cocktails with our featured spirit providers. To pair with your tastings, we will also feature a variety of treats from Lillie Belle Farms Chocolate, KIND snacks and more.
