Ticketing

  • Yes, Kids and Teen Passes will be available for purchase in early January.

    Ages 4 and under: FREE

    Ages 5 – 12: Kids Pass (4-Day, 3-Day, 2-Day, and Single day ticket options available.)

    Ages 13 – 16: Teen Pass (Only 4-Day option available. For 3-Day, 2-Day, and Single day tickets, regular passes must be purchased.)

    Ages 17 and older: General (adult) Festival Passe

  • You may transfer your tickets. High Sierra recommends cashortrade for such transactions.

  • No, camping is only included with all multi-day passes. If you plan to purchase a ticket for Late Night shows you will need a multi-day festival pass.

  • We appreciate the ongoing support of our Plumas and Sierra Country neighbors and offer discounts to those local to the area. To qualify, you must have a Plumas or Sierra County ID’s present at box office. Discounts are limited to one adult pass per ID. Preparing for the Festival

  • Summers in Quincy are very warm (average in the 80s) during the day and cool (average in the low 50s) at night. Weather varies year to year so please check the Quincy Weather Forecast in advance of arrival and plan accordingly. Rainfall is rare during the summer but you should bring light rain gear just in case.

    • Warm clothes (nights can be cool)

    • Sun protection (sun screen, hats, umbrellas, shade structures)

    • Acoustic instruments for campsite jams

    • Portable radios to tune into Grizzly Radio

    • Water bottles

    • Festive clothing and fun costume wear. Check out our daily costume themes.

    • Absolutely NO PETS allowed on the festival grounds or parking lots (qualified service animals permitted, see policy here). This will be strictly enforced.

    • Please remove all personal possessions after each night’s performance.

    • No fireworks or sky lanterns.

    • No amplified music or drum circles from 11pm to 11am.

    • No campfires or charcoal grills (cook stoves OK).

    • No video recording of any performances.

    • No motorized vehicles (golf carts, ATVs, segways).

    • No unauthorized vending – if you’re not a registered vendor you may not sell or distribute anything on the festival grounds. Violators are subject to confiscation and/or ejection.

    • No laser pens or similar focused-light devices.

    • No professional photography equipment or cameras with detachable lenses.

    • No unauthorized motorized and/or remote control aerial devices, toys, cameras or equipment (drones, toy planes, etc.).

    • No confetti, please (every piece needs to get picked up!).

    • Grandstand Meadow Guidelines:

      • No cans or glass.

      • No outside beverages.

      • Exceptions:

        • Sealed water bottles

        • Kids’ juice/milk boxes/baby formula

        • One drink in a cup (16 oz or under) per person

        • Empty water bottles. Ample potable water hydration stations provided.

    • No large coolers (soft-sided “lunch sized” permitted).

    • No chairs higher than 18” in front of the soundboard.

    • No Frisbee or disc throwing.

    Prohibited items may be added to this list at any time if necessary.

Arrival/

Wristbands

  • Detailed arrival info will be available this spring. Please scroll to the bottom of this page to join the High Sierra Mailing List.

  • If you need to replace your wristband, please report back to the main on-site box office, or ask festival staff for assistance.

On-Site

  • Medical professionals are on-site 24 hours a day. Medical teams are in the Grandstand Meadow (daytime only) and near the Late Night Plaza (24 hrs). Locations are also marked on the Festival Map.

  • Yes.

  • Lost & Found is at the Merchandise Tent in the Grandstand Meadow.

  • Yes. Camp Traction will be set up adjacent to Big Meadow and Shady Grove Campground and there will be a “Yellow Balloons”/clean and sober table set up in the Music Meadow non-profit booth area.

  • Audience taping is permitted in the designated tapers section adjacent to the soundboard, microphone stands limited to 7 ft tall max. Our taping policy is subject to change per artist request.

  • You may take pictures, but not with professional equipment or cameras with detachable lenses. No video recording of any kind. No drone photography of any kind.

  • Grandstand Meadow Guidelines:

VIP/FestivALL

  • Early entry hours will be announced when FestivALL goes on sale. Please don’t arrive earlier than this designated time.

  • FestivALL Pass holders with early entry on Wednesday will be permitted to set up camp in a clearly defined, designated FestivALL early-entry area in the Shady Grove campground only, and will be allotted a 10′ x 20′ camping space.

  • A tent tag shows us that your tent is valid to be in Shady Grove FestivALL area before 8am Thursday morning. Each FestivALL Pass holder entering the early entry area will receive one tent tag that must be attached to their tent during the early entry period. Tents without early entry tent tags will be removed.

  • Early Entry is an entitlement for FestivALL RV and FestivALL with Shady Grove Parking Package holders and their passengers as well as off-site FesetivALL parking shuttle passengers only. Saving camping space or setting up tents for non-FestivALL package holders is prohibited.

  • The early entry area will be tightly controlled until the festival grounds open to the public at 8am on Thursday. Leaving the early entry area with camping gear (tents, tarps, coolers, etc.) will be prohibited prior to 8:00am on Thursday.

  • Off-site parking is included in the FestivALL package and shuttles to the festival site are provided. Only FestivALL with Shady Grove Parking Package holder will be permitted to drive their cars onto the fairgrounds.

  • No professional photography equipment or cameras with detachable lenses are allowed in the pit without media pass. Point-and-shoots without additional lenses or cell phones are fine.

  • You may transfer your package to someone else through your Eventbrite account, however please send an email to: <theresa@HighSierraMusic dot com> with the new ticket holder’s name and email.

Kids/Families

  • Yes! We try to create a quieter and more kid-friendly environment in the eastern end of the Shady Grove campground (quieter late at night, louder early in the morning). If you’re interested in camping in Family Camp, let your shuttle driver or parking attendant know and you’ll be pointed in the right direction. A vehicle pass is required to park in Family Camp.

  • The Rockin’ Nannies are a group of qualified educators, professionals, and CPR-certified child care providers who will once again provide high quality evening childcare at High Sierra. Reserving in advance is strongly recommended as availability may be limited at the festival.

  • We have a wonderful Family Area with ongoing games, arts and crafts, performances on the Family Stage and other fun activities. See our Family Zone page for details.

Accessibility

  • Accessible camping and parking is available to those with mobility disabilities with a valid, state-issued accessible parking placard or tag. Purchase of a Hillside Parking Pass is required. Upon entry please present your handicapped placard, and the parking attendants, or shuttle driver will direct you toward accessible camping and parking.

  • Accessible Parking and Camping is centrally located within the fairgrounds and in close proximity to accessible bathhouses. Purchase a Hillside Parking Pass to access this area. Upon arrival show the parking attendant a valid accessible placard and you will be directed to the Accessible Parking and Camping area.

  • Most RV Parking is Accessible, and close to permanent accessible bath facilities on site.

  • Qualified service animals will be permitted into the festival. Please refer to the our festival’s service animal policy for more information.
